Blacks, and the Blues

$48.00

This piece was written for the “Lift Every Voice” trombone choir in preparation for a performance at the International Trombone Festival.  I wrote the music as a reflection of the past, present and future sentiments of our current culture.  The title pays homage to “Black and Blue” written by Fats Waller and performed by Louis Armstrong. That particular song (one of my favorites) speaks to humanity has a whole and how we must strive to see beyond the barriers that define us.
