Once again, Wycliffe has topped the poll of the annual Downbeat Critics Poll for “Best Trombone” edging out the competition in 2020.  When hearing of his recent award Wycliffe said, “Wow, I’m so grateful and truly blessed.  It’s been such a turbulent year, so finally some good news!! I don’t pay much attention to the polls, I just do what I love and in the end it somehow pays off.  Everyone’s a winner in my book, we are all just doing our thing and spreading the love around through this great art form called jazz.”
